Ezequiel Rodríguez — AI-Powered Product Designer

Experience

One chronological spine, two tracks: contract work run end to end, and in-house roles inside a team. What is still running sits at the top, then everything else by the date it ended.

AI-Powered Product Designer — Shield

2026 — Present · Freelance · Remote, fintech based in Miami · Team: five developers.

Shield gives international wholesalers US bank accounts, compliant USDT payments and business credit cards — a16z-crypto backed, FinCEN-registered, over $500M moved across 120+ countries.

  • Hand over whole flows as working code, ready for engineering to implement, rather than as screens for them to interpret.
  • Redesign core product flows end to end in Figma, starting from the compliance-heavy onboarding and working outwards.
  • Design the surface around the product too: landing pages, conference backdrops, social pieces, inserts and business cards.

UX/UI Designer — confidential client

Oct 2023 — Present · Freelance · Remote, long-running engagement · Team: a lead designer.

A single client relationship running over two years that kept moving into whatever was next: immersive 3D, then conversational AI, then spatial computing.

  • Designed an in-browser immersive 3D multiplayer experience for an NFT marketplace, with its own storefront layout and world-builder tooling.
  • Prototyped a health chatbot for women in menopause — consultations, triage, medication guidance and a connected marketplace.
  • Designed a custom AI builder, and an enterprise companion chat where the assistant holds a room of people, and other assistants, at once.
  • Carried that same concept into spatial interaction as visionOS arrived.

AI-Powered Product Designer — Visualine

Nov 2025 — Apr 2026 · Freelance · Remote · Team: the CEO.

Designed the 0→1 MVP of an AI audience-intelligence platform that turns comments from four social networks into insights, on-brand replies and moderation in a single inbox.

  • Defined the MVP journey and information architecture, then wireframed 10+ core screens before any visual design.
  • Built the UI on an adapted Untitled UI foundation, extended for data-dense tables, filters and AI interaction states.
  • Designed human-in-the-loop AI flows where every generated reply is reviewed, edited and approved by a person.

Product Design Lead — Chelsea Labs

Mar 2025 — Oct 2025 · Freelance · Remote · Team: the CEO, three developers and a senior UX/UI designer.

Led product design at Chelsea Labs, with Kendyl as the flagship build — an AI hiring platform matching companies and talent on mission and capability rather than keywords.

  • Designed separate onboarding and AI-interview flows for both sides as stepper components with contextual validation.
  • Made the six-dimension Kendyl Score legible at a glance to two very different audiences.
  • Held the product manager's half of the work as well as the designer's — scope, priorities and the order things got built in.

UX/UI Designer — confidential client (mental-health social platform)

Mar 2025 — Jul 2025 · Freelance · Remote · Team: the CEO and me.

A blog and social platform for mental health built entirely on a garden metaphor — gardens, seeds, weeds, sprouts, blooms and "wellgorithms". The work was turning that language into something you could actually touch.

  • Translated a poetic conceptual vocabulary into concrete interface objects, without flattening the metaphor back into an ordinary feed.
  • Worked as part of the founding creative team, shaping the product's language alongside its screens.

Product Designer — Temple Day Spa

2024 — 2025 · Freelance · Remote · Team: two developers.

Designed BookingChic, the spa's complete booking ecosystem — a web management platform for staff and a customer mobile app — replacing a patchwork of third-party tools with one system.

  • Translated user stories into a requirements matrix that surfaced edge cases before build started.
  • Designed the business platform and the customer app in parallel so business rules and customer experience evolved together.
  • Brought back by the same client afterwards for a second product: a file-management platform that finds and organises files through an AI chat.

Product Designer — 10 Design Group

Mar 2023 — Oct 2023 · In-house, part-time · Canada, remote · Team: two designers and a design lead.

Designed digital products end to end for the studio's clients. The main build was WrkSense — a multi-role recruitment SaaS serving recruiters, candidates, companies and agencies inside one coherent platform, while the client's brand was still being defined.

  • Mapped role-based flows and dashboards so each of WrkSense's four user types sees exactly what their job requires.
  • Held the visual system together through shifting brand direction, landing on a style the client adopted.
  • Ran user research so decisions rested on observed behaviour rather than preference, and prototyped while ideas were still cheap to change.

Product Designer — dspot

Apr 2021 — Jul 2023 · In-house, full-time · Team: four designers and a design lead.

Two years and four months across the full width of the craft — product design and graphic design held in the same role, on web and on native.

  • Flows, wireframes, responsive web and app design, interactive prototypes and motion.
  • Style guides and branding, plus the illustration, iconography and graphics hanging off them.
