Kendyl: AI hiring that matches talent and mission at scale

Role: Product Designer, UX/UI lead · Timeline: 2025 · Team: CEO, fullstack dev, UI designer

Kendyl is an AI-powered hiring platform that matches companies with global talent through structured AI interviews, role insights, and mission alignment. Companies and talent each get their own dashboard, and the Kendyl Score rates fit across six dimensions, from role fit to ambition alignment.

The problem

Hiring reduces people to a resume and a keyword match, which produces bad hires, poor team fit, and slow timelines. Kendyl needed flows where companies and talent match on mission, values, and real capability, without the AI turning into a black box.

Discovery & strategy

Worked out where resume-driven hiring fails, then defined what Kendyl would do in its place: structured AI signals, mission alignment, and a whole-person read rather than a keyword match.

UX flows & AI interviews

Designed separate onboarding and interview flows for businesses and talent, stepper-based with contextual tooltips and validation, plus components for interviews, scheduling, and contract handling.

Visual design system

Created one design system serving both dashboards and the marketing site. Several directions went past the CEO before we landed on softer shapes, friendly microcopy, and clean visuals: trustworthy without reading corporate.

Landing page & brand voice

Created custom visuals explaining the Kendyl Score and crafted the messaging and UX writing for the landing page, collaborating with a second UI designer.

Challenges & solutions

The outcome

Shipped a dashboard for each side plus instant booking: talent picks a slot with a company the moment interest is mutual. The microcopy ended up doing as much work as the layouts.
